This smartphone managed to disrupt the market for quite a while. It simply gave a tough competition to the high priced opponents. Although it was not quite expensive still the features that this phone had made it famous in less than a week of its release. After this tremendous success of Moto G, Motorola wanted to launch a smartphone with mid-range features and a low-end price tag. That’s the reason they launched the stunning Moto E on May 13. With a 4.3″ display of HD resolution, dual sim, dual-core processor, 5-megapixel camera, and 1,980mAh battery, the Motorola Moto E may as well be the ultimate budget phone. Moto E features a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 processor and 1GB of RAM which means you can easily play those hardcore games and high power apps without any mess. And you are getting all this in a dual SIM phone which is simply awesome. Regarding the operating system, Moto E is not at all different from Moto X and G. You’ll get the same stock version of Google’s mobile platform with some additional features. The one thing that will disappoint the selfie-obsessed market is that this phone does not have a front camera. But the 5-megapixel camera that it has can catch all your best fleeting moments perfectly. This is the first handset to come out of Motorola since it was sold by Google to Chinese firm Lenovo, also it is joined by a 4G version of the Moto G. Moto E comes with the Android 4.4 KitKat which is the latest version of Android until now. It comes with a low price of £89/$129. Of course, it lacks a feature or two, but that is expected. You might be thinking that such a low budget phone will definitely have a small screen but you are wrong its screen is larger than the iPhone by 0.3 of an inch, with a 4.3-inch display and a 960 x 540 256ppi resolution. This is equivalent to most of the tablets on the market right now.
It has a 1980mAh battery which is quite bigger than expected. Although it is slightly smaller than the 2070mAh power in the Moto G but it’s larger than the 1450mAh offering in the Lumia 520. The 4.3-inch qHD screen is bounded by some attractive bezels. Your eyes can’t help but be drawn to the two silver strips that run in parallel above and below the screen, comprising the speakers and microphone. Together, they make for a very tasteful touch of personality that gives Moto E a sense of self without much extra visual noise. It comes with a Corning Gorilla 3 protection which is scratch proof and the p2i nanocoating makes it water splash-proof. The Sensors are Proximity which detects your face during a call to disable the screen so that you wouldn’t accidentally press buttons during a call. Accelerometer which tilts the screen when u tilt the phone and Ambient Light Sensor for adjusting the brightness automatically. Motorola never intend to provide a top featured high-priced phone instead they provide a phone with all the basic qualities. Some of these include calling, messaging, emails, social integration, media playback, capturing pictures, and access to the Play Store apps. After the launch of Moto X the chief Dennis Woodside tech CEO announced their dream of launching a low budget device with breathtaking features. After that when they released Moto G later that year, I thought the company had done what they set out to do. But they proved me wrong by launching the cheapest smartphone Moto E this year.
