Steps to update Galaxy Fit S5670 to Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread:

After successfully downloading the Firmware package given above, extract it. You’ll find the following files inside it: S5670DDKT3_S5670ODDKT2_S5670DDKT2_HOME.tar.md5, BENI_v1.0.0ps & ODIN_v4.38.

Now switch off your Galaxy Fit S5670 completely and enter into downloading mode. To do so, press and hold ‘Home Button (middle button) + Volume down key + Power Button’ simultaneously until the download mode appears.

Keep the phone as it is, and connect it to the PC using a USB cable. Open ‘Odin Multi Downloader_v4.38‘ software from the firmware package folder which you have just downloaded & extracted on your PC. As soon as you open it, the ID: COM section in it will turn yellow. If it does not show, then again install USB device drivers on your PC. You can install them from the links given above or the Samsung Kies CD which you’ve got at the time of purchase. Now select the OPS tab located on the Odin Downloader and select the ‘BENI_v1.0.ops’ file from the Firmware package. On the top left side of the Odin, you’ll find the One Package option. Simply check it. It will highlight the One Package option at the bottom. So click that One Package option and select the ‘S5670DDKT3_S5670ODDKT2_S5670DDKT2_HOME.tar.md5’ file located in the firmware package folder. Do not check or un-check any other option from the Odin Multi Downloader. You may refer to the screenshot given below.

After attempting everything as mentioned above, start the process by clicking on the Start button located on the Odin window. Your phone will automatically reboot itself while going through the process. Do not touch or remove the USB cable until the process completes. The process will last for few minutes. As soon as it completes, the ID: COM section on the Odin window will turn blue with the message ‘Pass’ below it. This will confirm that you have properly flashed your Galaxy Fit S5670 with 2.3.6 DDKT3 Gingerbread. You can now disconnect your device by safely removing the USB cable. If the process fails, then close the Odin window. Remove the battery from your phone and re-insert it. Again go into downloading mode and repeat the entire procedure. After completing the process, boot your device into recovery mode by holding the Home button (Middle button) and Power button simultaneously until the recovery mode appears. Touch will not work here in recovery mode. So all you need to do is use the Volume Up and Volume Down keys for navigation and the Home button (Middle button) for selection. On the recovery mode, navigate to the ‘Wipe data/factory reset’ option followed by the ‘Wipe Cache partition’ option & select them to clear all the data and caches from your phone memory. Then go back to the main menu of recovery mode and select the ‘reboot system now’ option to restart your device.
